Description
This is 1/7 of a multimedia assignment I am doing on the 7 Deadly Sins. I am trying to depict each sin in the manner or style of a different era of the 20th century. 1930s - 90s.
1930s - Lust
1940s - Envy
1950s - Gluttony
1960s - Greed
1970s - Wrath
1980s - Vanity
1990s - Sloth
This is Glutony in the 1950s. The colour of gluttony is orange, so I tried to incorporate as many orange foods as I could find, those curtains are awesome, and actually orange, I didn't want too much orange behind her though. I used a lot of orange in this picture to kind of give the feel of an overdose, because it's for Gluttony. I placed a little froggy on the middle plate (with the fruit on it) because the punishment in hell for being a Glutton is being forced to eat frogs, snakes and toads. I chose a Hibiscus flower because they were very popular flowers around the 1950s. The amount of 1950s memorabilia we had was disorienting! I didn't even use near half of it in here. I baked that cake :3

Very Beautiful. You probably explained this but did you pick the 1950s for gluttony because it was after the war and people were indulging after having to live on rations for so long?
